A dictionary is a book which contains the meaning of words. Its synonym is lexicon.

I like to find the meaning of words I don't know in my dictionary .My dictionary is pretty old. I think its like 13 or 14 years old. So thats why it does not contain a lot of new words but I have no problem with that because there always is Google. Since the dictionary is so old the cover came off a long time ago thats why the binding has become fragile. It has more than 1000 pages ( 1432 to be precise ). The pages have turned from white to yellow. If you notice you can see the yellow is mostly on the borders and the centre of all pages is still slightly white.

When I open the dictionary I can smell the old paper ,the old smell, which makes me feel like its a hundred years old. On the front page it says that there are 100,000 words in it. I find it interesting that on every page there is at least one word whose meaning I don't know. So its always fun to open a random page and learn some new words.I love my dictionary.

I'm happy to see that one person in the whole world reads my blog. I wish more people join in to read it so if you like what I write then share it with your kith and kin.
