3 Ways You can avoid a fight.
A fight starts because of a disagreement. There is a rush of adrenaline and we feel like we are gods of the world and we have to win no matter what the consequence. We say mean things and stuff we don't mean just to win over the argument. Here's a few ways to avoid a fight -
Keep Calm
Sometimes know when we are about to get in a fight and we can just try and take a deep breath. You can always talk to solve a problem. If one person raises their voice then the other person does the same and then after a few minutes it just becomes "Who can shout the loudest contest?" Fighting is not the solution but talking is. Try and be the bigger person. Thats hard to do when you are in between an argument but there is always room to learn.
Drink Water
It sounds a bit strange but drinking water reduces levels of stress in our body. Studies have shown that dehydration leads to higher cortisol levels (stress hormome) which makes it harder to deal with issues.
Change your Perspective
If we keep thinking that we are right and we don't listen to the other person then we can not reach to a conclusion. If we just take a moment and think about how the other person is seeing the situation it can solves half the problems. Seeing the same situation with different perspectives and with the perspective of the other person can help to avoid a fight and you can actually grow as a person because it will help you to get a similar line of thinking as the person in front of you.
