Words Cut More Than Swords
We fight because of conflict of interest or when things don't turn out the way we want them too.
People near us can hurt us just by words and we can hurt them too. It is something to give a thought to."Words can hurt a lot more than swords can"
This is true. Physical fights leave wounds but those wounds heal. They cause little pain, but only for a few days. A wound might leave a scar which reminds you of that fight but words can hurt so much, in so many different ways.
A verbal fight can hurt a lot more. It's mental pain what I'm talking about. You just think about the same thing again and again. It's almost like you cannot believe that a person so close to you can say something like that. Something they know will hurt you but still they say it.
"Tongue is mightier than the sword" - Edward Bulwer-Lytton
What we can do from our part is that we assume that they said in heat of the moment. Maybe they too regret saying that. I'm not telling you to forgive them. That is one's personal choice. But still, if you want to forget that they said it, you can always assume that they were in a bad mood.
When we get into a fight we say bad things to others. We don't mean it. But still we say it. It is the anger that speaks those words. Not us. When we say it, it gives us a feeling of victory. That we have won the argument. But we don't even know what pain we have caused to the person in front of us. The one that means so much to us. Later, we feel bad that we hurt them but its too late to apologise because that person has decided to shun you out of thier life.
Always choose your words wisely. No matter how bad it gets, no matter how harsh that one good friend is being to you because at the end you still want to be friends with that person. You will hate that feeling of extreme guilt. If you have said something wrong and there is still time, you should mend your ways and apologise to that person whom you hurt because you never know when they will leave you and will be gone forever. It can be a close friend or a colleague or even a family member.
“The tongue like a sharp knife, kills without drawing blood.” - Gautama Buddha
Thats all for now. Ciao ;)
